Great Migration Safari
Follow the herds across the Maasai Mara and up through the Serengeti to the Mara River crossings. We time your trip to the season, not to a fixed calendar, so you are where the animals actually are.
Moven Safaris is a family-run tour company based in Nairobi, Kenya. We take a maximum of six guests per vehicle into the Maasai Mara, Amboseli and the Serengeti — so every sighting is yours, and every question gets an answer.
From a single day in the Mara to a nine-day migration circuit — every itinerary is private, flexible and led by a guide who grew up beside these parks.

Descend 600 metres into a collapsed volcanic caldera holding around 25,000 large animals. Black rhino, lion and elephant in a single morning — with a picnic on the crater floor.
Big-tusker elephants crossing the dry lakebed with Kilimanjaro standing behind them. An easy day out from Nairobi, ideal if you have a spare day before or after a longer safari.
Sleep in a private mobile camp inside the reserve boundary, with lions calling somewhere past the canvas. Full crew, hot meals and a fire every night. Our most requested trip.
Lift off before dawn and drift silently over the plains as the herds wake below. Ends with a bush breakfast and a champagne toast on the grass. Add-on to any Maasai Mara itinerary.
Visit a Maasai manyatta near Kajiado with a guide who speaks Maa. Learn about herding, beadwork and the coming-of-age ceremonies — arranged directly with the community.
Moven Safaris started in 2017 in Nairobi with one Land Cruiser and a driver named Kevin, who learned these parks as a boy through a lifelong interest in wildlife and camping culture and now has nine years in guiding. Nine years later the fleet has expanded to various types of vehicles, and we still answer the phone ourselves, and still put the same guide in the driver's seat for the whole of your trip.
We keep groups to six guests per vehicle on purpose. It means a window seat for everyone, room for the camera gear, and a guide who can hear your questions over the engine. It also means we can turn the vehicle around when someone spots fresh lion tracks — which is usually how the best sightings happen.
Photographs taken by our guides and guests across Kenya and the northern Tanzania circuit — no stock images, no borrowed sightings.
Reviews from guests who travelled with us in the last two seasons.
Six of us in one vehicle meant we never once had to crane over someone's shoulder. Joseph spotted a cheetah from what felt like a kilometre away and we had it to ourselves for twenty minutes before anyone else arrived.
We booked late and asked for something shorter than the usual package. Moven built us a four-day trip around our flights, answered every email within a day, and the price we were quoted was the price we paid.
The Maasai village visit was the part I expected to feel staged and it was the opposite — we sat with a family for two hours, no rush, no sales pitch. Our guide translated everything and clearly knew them well.
Self-drive or with a driver — our Nairobi fleet covers everything from a saloon for a city meeting to a Land Cruiser for the Mara. Daily rates include comprehensive insurance, unlimited mileage within Kenya and 24-hour roadside support.
